Welcome to Bess Maxwell Elementary School!

I am deeply honored and excited to serve as the new principal of Bess Maxwell Elementary School. With over 20 years of experience in the education field, I have had the privilege of working in various roles, including yard duty support, parent volunteer, substitute teacher, Special Education teacher, and Special Education administrator. These diverse experiences have shaped my understanding and appreciation of the unique needs and strengths of our students, staff, and families.

My journey in education began with a profound passion for teaching, which I discovered as a child while teaching my siblings in a little shed in our backyard. This passion has only grown over the years, fueling my commitment to fostering a nurturing and inclusive environment where every student can thrive.

I am also a proud parent of two wonderful young adults. My son is a dedicated teacher, and my daughter, who is on the spectrum, has taught me invaluable lessons about the importance of understanding and embracing diverse perspectives.

At Bess Maxwell, our mission and vision guide everything we do. We are dedicated to inspiring creativity and innovation, building strong relationships, fostering a love for learning, and collaborating to ensure the success and well-being of every student. We strive to be a nurturing and inclusive community where every student is empowered to reach their full potential.
